Noah's Ark Animal Centre collaborates with several local animal rescue groups on the island. Our objective is to promote responsible pet ownership and animal awareness through subsidized spaying and neutering as part of a long-term community effort to reduce the roaming animal population. Some of these groups include Briland Animal Rescue [BAR], Bahamas Alliance for Animal Rights and Kindness[BAARK] and Caribbean Animal Rescue Effort[CARE]. Additionally, these groups also foster and rehome hundreds of animals yearly and are always seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with this initiative.
Note: all rescue groups have social media accts such as FB and IG which are monitored daily
Noah's Ark Animal Centre also provides regular monthly satellite clinics in Harbour Island and offer relief veterinary services for residents of Spanish Wells, under the umbrella of Dr. Peter Bizzell, owner of Spanish Wells Veterinary Clinic. Both surgical, which primarily involves spaying and neutering, and medical services are available and do require an appointment.
Note: Sometimes we offer [non-routine] services such as lumpectomies, dew claw removals, biopsies, allergy testing but these are offered on a case by case basis and are not routine. More complicated cases are referred to the main clinic.
For more information on how to schedule an appointment, date etc. please check the flyer being sent out regularly.
